WHAT IS MONASTIC MEDICINE?
WHAT IS A SANCTIFIED HEALER?

WHAT IS SMOCH?

Monastic medicine refers to the lineage of health modalities which encompasses the natural sciences (such as physiology, anatomy, chemistry, physics and psychology, to name a few) and vitalistic or spiritual healing. Vitalism means that one's core essence has agency over all aspects of one's life. Monastic medicine is a far cry from the cold, sterile, and profit driven model of contemporary medicine. Monastic medicine has a rich and varied tradition dating back thousands of years, and is responsible for the first hospitallers, (those that treated the sick and wounded in a place of spiritual enrichment, commonly a church, or monastery, or cathedral). Indeed, all hospitals today are descendants of a monastic approach.

A Sanctified healer is one who embraces the art, as well as the science, of health and wellness. A sanctified healer utilizes indigenous modalities such as phytonutrients, minerals, salts, homeopathy, sunshine, air, water (especially invigorated water such as sea water), laying on of hands, mechanical restructuring, and psychological analysis, in order to bring body, mind, and spirit into re-balance, and thus increase vitality and resilience of the individual.

The Sacred Medical Order of the Church of Hope (SMOCH) is a world-wide group of Sanctified Healers who assist afflicted individuals in achieving more optimal health through the above referenced means. SMOCH consists of medical/osteopathic doctors, chiropractors, dentists, acupuncturists, physical therapists, naturopathic doctors, herbalists, homeopaths, iridologists, etc. The world-wide headquarters of SMOCH is located on Nevis Island (in the Caribbean Sea) an island unique in that it has not seen major bloodshed or strife since its first colonialization in 1600, making it a truly ideal, harmonious and sanctified location. SMOCH is affiliated with the PanAmerican School of Natural Healing, and houses the worlds largest library of indigenous and integrative healing books and audiovisual learning modalities. SMOCH members meet regularly for spiritual and educational events, and are constantly and continuously updating their monastic and ecclesiastical skills. SMOCH is a recognized diocese of the Chaldean Church of the East, located in Brazil. SMOCH is affiliated with the Knights of St. John, the Knights of Lazarus, the BLUE Cross and Blue Crescent of India, and the Knights of Malta.
